About The Temple :
Manakkattu Sree Bhadra Temple is one of the most important Bhadra Kali temple in Kottayam District. Ii is near to Erumely and is situated in Ponkunnam Erumely (via K.V.M.S.Hospital) route; 4 km from Ponkunnam and 8 km from Erumely.
Here Devi is be. lieved to be present to give ‘Bhadratha’ Le. prosperity to devotees . and being ‘Kshipra Prasadini’ Le. easily pleasable lots of ardent devotees came here to relieve their sorrows and return with a calm and peaceful mind.
Now the temple is under renovation ‘Sree Kovil’ and ‘Chuttambalam’ are to be reconstructed. ‘Kodimaram’ also to be constructed. Under the guidance of ‘Brahma Sri Kanipayoor Krishnan Nampoothiripadu’ the renovation process in already underway.
