About The Temple :

This temple is situated three kilometers east from Cherthala KVM bus stop at Thanneermukkam Panchayat in Allappuzha district. The presiding deity is Dhanwanthiri, and the stone idol which is facing west is engraved in a form that Lord Dhanwanthiri holds a Shanku, Chakram and an Amrithakumbham. Three poojas are offered in a day following the Kadiyakole thanthric rites. The sub deities are Manjapadi Bhagawathy, Ganapathy, Shivan, Shasthavu and Bhagawathy. An eight day festival is celebrated during the Malayalam month of Medam with an Aarattu falling on a Thirvonam star day. ThaI curry (a curry prepared out of the stem which holds the big leaf of a kind of Yam) is famous here since it cures stomach ache.
