Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!నేను నా కవిత్వము నీపైననే చెప్పెదను.ఇతరులపై నేమాత్రము చెప్పనని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేసితిని. అందుకు దీక్షా బద్దుడనైతిని.ప్రజలు మెచ్చుకొనునట్లుగా ఆ నియమమును పాటించుచున్నాను.కానీ ఎంత దౌర్భాగ్యము. రోజులు మారిపోయినవి.అందుచే నా నియమమును పాటించగలునో లేదో తెలియదు.ఇది నీ దయయే గానీ నా గొప్పతనము నైపుణ్యము మాత్రము కాదు.

Meaning:
O Lord! I vouched that I would praise none other than you in my poems. I have stood by that and people appreciated me for my conviction till now. But now times have changed and I donot know if I can keep my oath. It will be only your greatness if I can continue to do it.
