Legends and Notes
– Gangadhara is housed in a small temple where a Nandi regulates the flow of a natural spring

– Jalanatheswara is the presiding deity of the bigger temple, and is a sand swayambu lingam

– The Shivalingam is said to have been made by Parvati

– Legend has it that Shiva appeared here in answers to prayers by Bhrama Vishnu and Samvarta Muni, brother of Brihaspati

– This shrine is believed to be the Yaga Kundam of Daksha
