विक्रम पाण्ड्य उवाच :
1. कलयनचल कोदण्ड कण्ठ धोर्धन्द मन्दिथं,
कबली कृथा संसारं कलये अत्तल सुन्दरं.
2. कला कूट प्रभा जाल कलङ्गी कृथा कन्धरं,
कला धरं कला मोउलिं, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
3. कला कालं कालथीथं कलवन्थं च निष्कलं,
कमलपथि संस्थुथ्यं,, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं
4. कण्ठर्धं, कमनीयन्कं, करुनंरुथ सागरं,
कलि कल्मष दोशग्नं, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
5. कदम्ब कानन्धेसं, कंक्षिथर्थ सुर धर्मं,
काम ससनमीसनं, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
6. सृष्टानि माया येन, ब्रःमन्दनि बाहूनि च,
रक्षिथानि हथन्यन्थे, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
7. श्र्व भक्था जन संथाप पपातः भङ्ग ततःपरं,
करणं सर्व जगथं, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
8. कुल शेखर वंसोद भूपानां, कुल दैवथं,
परिपूर्ण चिदानन्दं, कलया अत्तल सुन्दरं.
9. अत्तल वीर शम्भोर अष्टकं वर मिष्टधं,
पदथां स्रुन्वथाम् सध्यस्थानोथु परमां श्रियं.

1. కలయనాచల కోదండ కాంత దోర్దండ మండితం,
కబలి కృత సంసారం కలయే అత్తల సుందరం.
2. కల కూత ప్రభ జాల కలంగి కృత కంధరం,
కల ధరం కల మౌలిం, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
3. కల కలం కాలాతీతం కలవంతం చ నిష్కళం,
కమలాపతి సంస్తుతిం,, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం
4. కన్తర్ధం, కమనీయంకం, కరునంరుత సాగరం,
కలి కల్మష దోషగ్నం, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
5. కదంబ కానందేసం, కంక్షితర్త సుర ధర్మం,
కామా ససనమీసనం, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
6. సృష్టాని మాయా యేన, బ్రహ్మందని బాహూని చ,
రక్షితాని హతన్యన్తే, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
7. స్వ భక్త జన సంతాప పాపాత్ భంగ తత్పరం,
కారణం సర్వ జగతాం, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
8. కుల శేఖర వంసోడ్ భూపానాం, కుల దైవతం,
పరిపూర్ణ చిదానందం, కలయ అత్తల సుందరం.
9. అత్తల వీర శంభోర్ అష్టకం వర మిష్టధం,
పడతాం సృన్వతాం సాధ్యస్తనోతు పరమం శ్రియం.

1. கலயனச்ச்ள கொடண்ட கந்த தோர்தண்ட மன்டிதம்,
கபாலி கருத சம்சாரம் கலையே அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
2. கல கூட பிரபா ஜால கலங்கி கருத கந்தரம்,
கல தரம் கல மெலும், களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
3. கல களம் காலதீதம் கலவந்தம் ச நிஷ்கலம்,
கமலபதி சம்ச்துத்யம்,, களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்
4. கந்தர்தம், கமநீயங்கம், கருனம்ருத சகரம்,
கலி கல்மஷ டோஷக்னம், களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
5. கடம்ப கானந்தேசம், கம்க்ஷிதர்த்த சுறா தர்மம்,
கம சசனமீசனம், களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
6. ஸ்ருஷ்டாணி மாயா என, பிராமண்டனி பாஹூனி ச,
ரக்ஷிதானி ஹதன்யந்தே, களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
7. சுவா பாக்த ஜன சந்தப ப்பத் பாங்க தத்பரம்,
கரணம் சர்வ ஜகதம், களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
8. குல ஷேக்ஹர வம்சொத் போஒபானாம், குல தைவதம்,
பரிபூர்ண சிடனந்தம், களைய அட்டல சுந்தரம்.
9. அட்டல வீர ஷம்ப்ஹோர் அஷ்டகம் வர மிஷ்டதம்,
பத்தாம் ஸ்ருன்வதாம் சத்யச்தநோது பரமாம் சரியம்.

1. Kalayanachala kodanda kantha dhordhanda manditham,
Kabali krutha samsaram kalaye attala sundaram.
2. Kala koota prabha jaala kalangi krutha kandharam,
Kala dharam kala moulim, kalaya attala sundaram.
3. Kala kalam Kaalatheetham Kalavantham cha nishkalam,
Kamalapathi samsthuthyam,, kalaya attala sundaram
4. Kanthardham, kamaneeyankam, Karunamrutha sagaram,
Kali kalmasha doshagnam, kalaya attala sundaram.
5. Kadamba kaanandhesam, Kamkshithartha sura dhramam,
Kama sasanameesanam, kalaya attala sundaram.
6. Srushtaani maayaa yena, Brahmandani baahooni cha,
Rakshithaani hathanyanthe, kalaya attala sundaram.
7. Swa bhaktha jana santhapa papath bhanga thathparam,
Karanam sarva jagatham, kalaya attala sundaram.
8. Kula Shekhara vamsod bhoopaanaam, kula daivatham,
Paripoorna chidanandam, kalaya attala sundaram.
9. Attala veera shambhor ashtakam vara mishtadham,
Padathaam srunwathaam sadhyasthanothu paramaam sriyam.

1. I bow down the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who has swallowed the earth, who made the mountain as his bow,
And who decorates himself with a weapon which is a rod.
2. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who carries the crescent, Who keeps crescent on his head,
Who shines in the luster of Kala Koota poison,
And which arose from the sea that was churned.
3. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who was praised by the lord of she who sits on a lotus,
Who is death to the God of death, Who is beyond measures of time,
Who carries the crescent and who is without any blemish.
4. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who destroys the ills created by the kali age,
Who has given half his body to his wife,
Who has a pretty body and is the ocean the nectar of mercy.
5. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who is the God who punished the God of love,
Who is the lord of the forest of Kadamba trees,
And who is the divine plant which fulfills al wishes.
6. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who created, did up keeping and destroyed several universes,
Which were created by his powers of illusion.
7. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who is the root cause of all the worlds,
And who is interested in destroying the sins,
And anxieties of all his devotees.
8. I bow down to the ever pretty one who drank poison,
Who is complete with divine happiness,
And who is the deity of the clan of Pandya,
Kings belonging to the dynasty of Kulothunga.
9. This octet praising Lord Shiva who drank poison,
If read or heard, would please Lord Shiva,
Who would grant the boons that one wishes.
