Chimthimpaku Kadachinapani (చింతింపకు కడచినపని)

Composer: Baddena Bhupaludu (AD 1220-1280). He was also known as Bhadra Bhupala. C.P. Brown. He was a Chola prince and was a Vassal under the Kakatiya empress Rani Rudrama Devi during the thirteenth century. He was a pupil of Tikkana, the greatest writer in Telugu. If we assume that the Sumatee Satakam was indeed written by Baddena, it would rank as one of the earliest Satakams in TeluguMore...

చింతింపకు కడచినపని
కింతులు వలతురని నమ్మకెంతయు మదిలో
నంతఃపుర కాంతులతో
మంతనములు మానుమిదియే మతముర సుమతీ.

తాత్పర్యం:
జరిగిపోయిన పనికి విచారింపకుము,స్త్రీలు ప్రేమింతురని నమ్మకుము.రాణివాస స్త్రీలతో రహస్యాలోచనములు చేయుకుము.ఇదియే మంచి నడవడి సుమా.

Chimthimpaku kadachinapani
Kimthulu valathurani nammakemthayu madhilo
Namthahpura kaamthulatho
Mamthanamulu maanumidhiye mathamura sumathi.

Meaning:
(The poet opines that) Good way of living is not to dwell over the past, not to trust the love of a woman and not to have any secret dealings with the royal women.
