ఈక్షితి నర్థకాంక్ష మది నెప్పుడు పాయక లోకు లెల్ల సం
రక్షకుఁడై ననత్ప్రభునిరాకలఁ గోరుదు రెందుఁ జంద్రికా
పేక్షఁ జెలంగి చంద్రుం డుదయించువిదంబునకై చకోరపుం
బక్షులుచూడవే యెదు రపారముదంబునుబూని భాస్కరా.
తాత్పర్యం:
వెన్నెలపులుఁగులు వెన్నెలపైఁ బ్రీతిచేఁ జంద్రు నెదురుచూచునట్లే,లోకు లెప్పుడును దనము నాశించి తమరాజు రాక కెదురు చూచెదరు.

Ikshithi narthakaamksha madhi neppudu paayaka loku lella sam
Rakshakuaodai nanathprabhuniraakalaao gorudhu remdhuao jamdhrikaa
Pekshaao jelamgi chamdhrum dudhayimchuvidhambunakai chakorapum
Bakshuluchoodave yedhu rapaaramudhambunubuni bhaaskaraa.
Meaning:
O Lord! Like the Chakora birds wait for moon for his moon light, so the subjects wait for their king to bestow them with riches.

Chakora is a legendary bird in Hindu mythology and literature. It is believed to live for the beams of the moon or Chandra. The association of Chakora and Chandra has given rise to a number of folk love stories
