Jyotirlinga (Sanskrit: ज्योतिर्लिङ्ग | Hindi: ज्योतिर्लिंग | Telugu: జ్యోతిర్లింగ | Kannada: ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ | Marathi: ज्योतिर्लिंग | Nepali: ज्योतिर्लिंग | Gujarati : જ્યોતિર્લિંગ | Tamil: ஜோதிர்லிங்கம் | Malayalam: ജ്യോതിർലിംഗങ്ങൾ) is a Svayambhu (self-manifested) form of Lord Shiva in a Lingam format (pillar of divine light). There are 12 Jyotirlingas renowned as dvAdasa jyotir lingas, divine shrines evolved on earth across Indian subcontinent.
