Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!దురాశ్గల మాకు సంసారము కొద్దిగానైనా సుఖము కలిగించుటలేదు.మనస్సునందలి కోరికలు నెరవేరుట లేదు.మరణించిపోవునప్పుడు కొంచమైనను వెంట వచ్చుట లేదు.లోకమునందు కీర్తి ప్రతిష్టలు వచ్చుటయును లేదు. చేసిన దోశములను పోగొట్టుటయు లేదు.మీ దర్శనమును కలిగించుట లేదు.ఈ సంసారముపై మాకు గల దురాశను పోగొట్టుము.

O Lord! Worldly pursuit doesnot give one, ultimate happiness; neither satisfies one’s spiritual urges; nor gets real fame; it neither cleans one of sins nor shows way to witness you. O Lord! Show us a way out of this ignorance.
