About Samaalamma Temple
The Presiding deity samaalamma was installed under a Banyan tree and has no temple constructed for her only some Rock aligned one above resembling a compound wall of about 2 feet height.
This temple likes very near to the Pandu Raju Banda on the Puttur – Nagari Highway near the Electricity substation. She is deemed to be powerfull god and very kind to the devotees. A few Tamil movies has be shooted here and hit the box office.
