प्रथमस्तु महादेवो
ड्वित्यस्तु महेस्वरह
त्रुतीयाह संकरो ज्ञेय
चतुर्थो व्रुशभध्वजह
पञ्चमह कृत्ठिवासास्च
षश्तह कामाङ्ग नासनाह
सप्तमो देव देवसहा
स्रिकनस्च अष्टम स्मृथाह
स्वरो नवमो ज्ञेयो
दसमह पार्वति पतिहि
रुद्र एकदसस्चैव
ड्वदसह सिव उच्यथे
द्वदसैथनि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पथेन्नरह
कृथ्घ्नस्चैव गोघ्नस्च
ब्रम्हाग गुरुथल्पगाह
स्त्री बल घ़अकस्चिअव
सुरापो वृषली पतिहि
मुच्यते सर्व पापेभ्यो
रुद्र लोकं स गचथि.

ద్వితెయస్తూ మహేశ్వరః
తృతీయః సంకరో జ్ఞేయ
చతురతో వ్రుశాభాధ్వజః
పంచమహ క్రుత్తివాసాస్చ
శాశ్తః కామంగా నసనః
సప్తమో దేవ దేవాసః
శ్రికనస్చ్ అష్టమ స్మృతః
ఈశ్వరో నవమో గ్నేయో
దసమః పార్వతి పతిహి
రుద్రా ఎకదసస్చైవ
ద్వాదసః శివ ఉచ్యతే
ద్వాదసైతని నామాని త్రిసంధ్యం యః పతేన్నరహ
క్రుత్ఘ్నస్చైవ గోఘ్నస్చ
బ్రంహగా గురుతల్పగః
స్త్రీ బాల ఘాతకస్చిఅవ
సురాపో వ్రుశాలి పతిహి
ముచ్యతే సర్వ పపెభ్యో
రుద్రా లోకం స గచాతి.

பஞ்சமஹா க்ருத்திவாசாச்ச்ச
ஷஷ்டஹா கமான்க நசனஹா
சப்தமோ தேவ தேவசஹா
ஸ்ரிகனச்ச் அஷ்டமா ச்ம்ருதஹா
ஈஸ்வரோ நவமோ கனியோ
தசமஹா பார்வதி படிஹி
ருத்ர ஏகடசச்சைவ
ட்வடசஹா சிவா உச்யதே
ட்வடசைதனி நாமானி ற்றிசந்த்யம் ய் பதெனரஹ
க்ருத்க்ஹ்னச்சைவ கோக்ஹ்னச்ச்ச
ப்ரம்ஹாக குருதல்பகஹா
சற்றி பாலா காடகச்சியாவ
சுராபோ வ்ருஷலி படிஹி
முச்யடே சர்வ பபெபியோ
ருத்ர லோகம் ச கச்சதி.

First, the great Lord,
Second, the greatest among gods,
Third, the well known Shankara
Fourth, the one who has bull in his flag,
Fifth, the one who wears animal hide
Sixth, the one who killed the God of love
Seventh, the God of devas,
Eighth, the one with poison neck
Ninth, the one who is known as Easwara,
Tenth, the consort of Parvathi,
Eleventh, the fearsome Rudra,
And twelfth Lord Shiva
The man who reads these twelve names during dawn, noon and dusk,
Even if ungrateful or having killed a cow,
Even if he has killed Brahmins or teacher,
Or it is a lady, child or an achiever,
The lord of devas, The lord of the bull,
Would get rid of all his sins,
And at the end reach the land of Shiva.
