Sri Veda Narayana Swami temple is situated 70kms from Tirupati in Nagalapuram. This temple was built by Sri Krishnadevaraya and serves an example of Vijayanagara architecture. The legend is that Lord Sri Vishnu killed a demon by name Somakudu at this place, in the Matsya avatara to retrieve the Vedas. The grabha griha has the pictures of Lord Vishnu’s Matsya avatar with Sridevi and Bhudevi on each side.
