Pallavi
rAma chandrAya janaka rAja jA manOharAya mAmakA bheeshTa dAya mahita mangaLam || Mangalam (wishing prosperity and happiness) to Ramachandra who won the heart of Janaka’s daughter Sita and who fulfills all our wishes.

Charanam

1.kOsalEndrAya manda hAsa dAsa pOsha Naya vAsavAdi vinuta sad varada mangaLam || Mangalam to the son of Kousalya who has a gentle smile on his face, who protects his devotees and who is worshipped by Devendra.

2.chAru kumkumO pEta chandanAdi charchitAya hAraka SObhitAya bhoori mangaLam || He is beautiful with Kum Kuma (vermillion) on his forehead. He is shining with sandal paste smeared on his body and garlands around his neck. Wish him a golden benediction.

3.lalita ratna kunDalAya tulasee vana mAlikAya jalaja sadruSa dEhAya chAru mangaLam || Beautiful Mangalam to the God who is adorned with diamond hangings on his ears, to the God who is adorned with Tulasi garlands and to the God who is like the blue sky.

4.dEvakee putrAya dEva dEvOttamAya chAva jAta guru varAya bhavya mangaLam || Mangalam to the son of Devaki, the best of all Gods and the most eminent Guru.

5.punDaree kAkshAya poorNa chandrAnanAya anDa jAta vAhanAya atula mangaLam || Unique Mangalam to Pundari Kaksha (Vishnu) the one who shines like the full moon, the on who has Garuda bird as his vehicle.

6.vimala roopAya vividha vEdAnta vEdyAya sujana chitta kAmitAya subhaga mangaLam || Lovely Mangalam to Rama, the unblemished, who knows the transcendental philosophy and who fulfills the desires of devotees.

7.rAma dAsa mrudula hrudaya tAmarasa nivAsAya swAmi bhadra girivarAya sarva mangaLam Whole hearted Mangalam to Rama whose heart is gentle and who is the chosen Lord of Bhadrachala.

One who is praised by all gods, good boon-giving auspiciousness!

2.To the One who has the form (color) of a beautiful cloud (blue-black), who is smeared with sandalwood paste,
who shines with garlands and bracelets, great auspiciousness!

3.To the One who wears several beautiful gems, who wears a garland of tulasi leaves,
whose body shines like a water-bearing cloud, pleasing auspiciousness!

4.To the great son of Devaki, who is above all gods,
Who gives benediction as a teacher whenever He was thought of, true auspiciousness!

5.To the One who has eyes like white lotus flowers, whose face is like full moon,
who uses for transport the egg-born bird (Garuda), incomparable auspiciousness!

6.To the One who has unblemished form, who is revealed through various Vedic philosophies,
who likes those with pleasing faces (calm minds), happiness-giving auspiciouness!

7.To the One who resides in Ramdasa’s tender heart
Who is the Lord of Bhadragiri (hills), total auspiciousness!
