Greatness Of Temple:

Panchamukha Heramba Ganapathy: Of the 32 forms of Sri Vinayaka described in the scriptures, Panchamukha Heramba Ganapathy is one. He is 12 feet tall with five faces (panchamukha), 10 hands, seated on the Lion holding Abhaya (protection), Varam (boons), Pasam (a rope), Dandha (tusks), Rudraksha, Mavatti, Parasu, pounder (some weapons), Modhagam (a pudding known as Kozhukkattai) and fruits. Special pujas are performed on the Sankatahara Chathurthi (4th day from New moon or full moon days) and Vinayaka Chaturdhi days. Around the compound (Goshtam) there are Balaganapathy, Panchamukha Ganapathy, Heramba Ganapathy and Lakshmi Ganapathy. Swaminatha Swami: Lord Muruga or Swaminathaswami in this Ashram is 12 feet tall facing west as in Palni. He holds the staff in the right hand with His Vel weapon leaning on the right shoulder. The left hand rests on the hip. The belief is that one worshipping Lord Muruga facing West shall be endowed with wisdom and prosperity. Reminding the story of his receiving the Vel weapon from His Mother, the Lord is in front of Bhuvaneswari shrine in a bowing pose. He also graces devotees as the Teacher of the Teacher teaching his own Father Lord Shiva. He is dressed beautifully during the Skanda Sashti days. Special abisheks are performed on all Kruthika star days. Around his shrine are Balamurugan, Kadhirkama Murugan, Aarupadai Murugan and nine forms of Murugan. Panchamukha Anjaneya: Sri Anjaneya in the Northwest corner (Vayu corner) of the Ashram has five faces. He has the Vanara face (monkey) in the east, Narasimha in the South, Garuda in west, Varaha in North and horse facing upwards. The 12 feet tall Anjaneya has sword, Soola, tree, mountain, pasam, Ankusam, Chinmudra, Pindipalam, Ghatwangam, and Kundigai. On new moon days, Hanuman Jayanthi and Moola star days special pujas are performed. Those afflicted with Saturn aspects worship this Anjaneya. Around the shrine are Bhakta Anjaneya and Veera Anjaneya.
