పద్యం:
చెప్పకు చేసినమేలు నొ
కప్పుడుయైనఁ గాని దాని హర్షింపరుగా
గొప్పలు చెప్పిన నదియును
దప్పే యని చిత్తమందు దలఁపు కుమారీ!
తాత్పర్యము:
ఓ సుకుమారీ!నీవు జేసిన మేలు ఎన్న్డైననూ పరులకు జెప్పకు అట్లు చెప్పిన నెవ్వరునూ సంతోషింపరు.గొప్పలు చెప్పుకొనుట కూడా మంచిది కాదు.దానివల్ల సంపాదించిన పుణ్యము ఖర్చగును.

Cheppaku chesinamelu no
kappuduyainaao gaani dhaani harshimparugaa
goppalu cheppina nadhiyunu
dhappe yani chiththamamdhu dhalaaopu kumaari!
Meaning:
O Kumari, Do not chant praises of the good you have done to others, your people do not appreciate it. Self praise will result in losing the virtue gained by doing the good act.
