Is there any sin which could not be quelled by Your purifying might? Is watching me so far not enough?

1. O Abode of Lakshmi! O Lord reclining on Sesha – the eater of air! O Foremost Lord! Is it not enough so far watching me, who – instead of worshipping Your Lotus Feet, impelled by evil desires, having been caught in the noose of Worldly Existence, is unable to bear the distress?

2. Is it not enough so far watching me, who – not being within my capacity (to withstand) the troubles caused again by those who do not have fear of future World, out of jealosy towards me, sought refuge at Your holy feet?

3. O Lord who always proceeds on Garuda – the eater of snakes! O Ocean of Mercy! Who is there for me other than You? O Lord bereft of attachment! is it not enough so far watching this Thyagaraja – who has made appeals very quickly that You alone are refuge?
